Well the singing part wouldn't be such a problem for me, Karaoke is one of my favourite hobbies Icon_mrgreen , but showing my face in front of millions of YouTube users until November Icon_eek . The prize is very tempting of course Icon_mrgreen , but... Do the rules say you are not allowed to hide your face behind a mask Icon_lol ? I don't want to be recognized by my neighbours, my coworkers, my boss... Icon_mrgreen . No I think I will not participate. Singing only would be supercool (yes, even the woo hoo hoo hoo Icon_lol ), but me appearing in a video clip on YouTube? NO way. So I won't meet them Icon_crying Icon_gonk Icon_wink . Too sad. And there won't be autograph sessions for everyone as far as I understood J (I asked him via MySpace).

Wow, much debate swirling around this contest... glad to see it has inspired some of you, that's the point! To clear a few things up, I suggest everyone read the rules. I am getting many questions, from all over the world, and those questions are answered in the rules. So please read them carefully.

About the various and random, "can I do this", or "can I be cloned with a monkey to create a new half-human/half-monkey breed and have it sing in the video while I operate the camera", etc. questions... please just don't violate the rules. You can do whatever you want, just don't violate the rules.

The basic idea is that if you want to meet VAMPS, you will show yourself on camera, and your commitment to wanting to meet them. That does not mean you have to be on camera for 100% of the time though... you can be creative. What we don't want is random other people singing in "your" video, without you. If you are there, and you are the main subject, and that is obvious, then anything else is fine. Does that help at all?

Also, don't worry about how many people in how many countries can win... it is all based on the whim of HYDE and K.A.Z. They are not exactly the "stick to the rules" type of guys, and that's why singing ability is not necessarily the most important thing. Think more about making an impression, something that will help them remember your video over other submissions.

Lastly, today is apparently Tokio's (the infamous founder of this forum) Birthday. There is a thread already going to submit your well-wishes, so do so if you have a chance... if not only to thank her for creating and maintaining this very useful forum.
